'Cuse only falls to #7

Amazingly, the Syracuse Orange fell only two spots to #7 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. The Orange lost to Pitt on Saturday afternoon at the Dome, but beat a pretty good Seton Hall team last Tuesday.

West Virginia, who was also previously unbeaten before losing to Purdue, also fell two spots to #8.

Not a bad turn of events and it shows that 'Cuse is still viewed as a very strong team.

Was Andy holding his cards?

My first reaction to this afternoon's pitiful performance against the Cowboys - utter disgust.

My second reaction - extreme anger.

My third reaction, however, is a bit optimistic...so take warning. Could Andy Reid have been so sick and so crazy to actually not think it was all THAT important to win on Sunday? Did he purposely hold back so as to not show the Cowboys all of his cards for their gigantic match up next week?

It sounds crazy, but Dallas couldn't have been THAT dominant. The Eagles looked dead and unmotivated. The Cowboys looked like the best team in the conference, which I still do not believe that they are.

For a positive spin, maybe Dallas showed the Eagles everything they had and the Eagles can take the tape, study it, and create a battle plan for next week...at which point Andy will unleash hell.

I warned you that this was optimistic, because on the other side, maybe the Eagles are in really big trouble!
